Our Trainers

Jason Borg
I started Go Personal Training in 2005 after leaving my career in the Pharmaceutical Industry after 12 years of various management roles. I wanted to do something that I was genuinely passionate about and looked forward to doing when I got out of a bed, I wanted something that felt less like a "job". For the last 15 years I have been into sport and fitness in a big way - I have really been into surfing, playing competitive cricket and for the last 7 years have been into triathlon. In April 08, I completed my first Ironman triathlon - what an exeperience!
I love working with clients who genuinely want to change their lives and get fitter, healthier, more energetic and stronger (both mentally and physically!) and have spent the last 3 years helping clients do this. I love training outdoors and using all of Melbournes great parks or beaches as well as showing people how to train in their own houses, and love mixing up my sessions so that my client really enjoys the sessions and can see and feel the changes all over their body as well as changing their mind-set and how they see themselves. I have a genuine interst in nutrition and like to focus on peoples diets as together with exercise this is absolutely paramount in achieving lifelong health and fitness.

Brent Porter
My interest in health and fitness goes back some 19 years and stemmed from a passion for martial arts which started when my father enrolled me in a judo class at the age of 7 and still continues today. After completing high school, I studied to become a pastry chef whilst I continued to train and compete in various disciplines including kickboxing, karate and kung-fu. I started teaching martial arts during this time and after 8 years as a chef, I left to focus on teaching full time.
Along the way, I achieved my black belt certification, I won a number of Victorian titles and I fought two world kickboxing champions for the South Pacific and Commonwealth titles. I then decided to broaden my skill set and studied sports massage, nutrition and received my formal qualifications in fitness and personal training. I taught classes at the Clayton Fitness Centre for a few years before commencing mobile personal training for individuals or groups of all ages which I have been doing for the past 6 years.
I am passionate about helping people to achieve their goals in health and fitness and finding fun and innovative ways to motivate and challenge my clients.
Whether you are seeking a longer term lifestyle change or have short term, specific goals, as your trainer, I will tailor a fitness program that you will enjoy and that will provide you with the results that you are looking for. I also offer nutritional advice and ways to help you maintain the changes in your day to day life outside of the training arena. I look forward to sharing your journey with you!

Michela Di Tocco
I have been a Personal Trainer for 3 years and love my being outdoors. I have Level 1 training in boxing and enjoy to incorporate this into my personal training sessions. I have previously worked in Pharmacy and have been able to take a lot of my knowedge from that workplace into my personal training career.
The sports I love to do is skiing in the winter season and running and just being outdoors in the summer season. I believe that being active is necessary for everybody and anybody and its never too late to start a training program.

Nicole Chiddington
Everyone is different and I believe it’s important for a trainer to listen to their clients to find out works for them. I design exercise programs to suit your goals, likes and dislikes, and current level of health and fitness. Whether you're trying to shape up, keep motivated or train for a specific event, I can provide advice, progressive challenging sessions, and ongoing support.
I began training in the fitness industry 8 years ago, when a love of running and generally looking after myself progressed from a hobby into a vocation. Following a career in the not-for-profit sector, I now dedicate myself full-time to personal training. I have a passion for helping people to change their lives by improving their fitness and gaining self confidence. Having been there myself, I understand the impact that negative feelings about your body can have on your entire life.
I have a particular interest in pre and post natal fitness, as this is such an important time in a woman’s life and so full of uncertainties and myths surrounding exercise! I love helping women stay fit and healthy during their pregnancies, and gaining their bodies - and their sense of self - back afterwards.
Training outdoors is so much more fun than running on a treadmill in a stuffy gym! I like to use a variety of equipment and what is available outdoors to ensure that, depending on your goals, you receive a great cardio, strength, core and flexibility training session every time. I believe that you have to keep challenging yourself to get great results, so will continually progress the intensity of the sessions as your fitness improves to ensure you get the results you are after.
But exercise alone is not enough! To be successful at achieving and maintaining health and fitness goals, your approach has to be a holistic one. In addition to fitness training, diet is vitally important to an overall health plan, so I can offer guidance and support with your diet to make sure you your fitness journey is a successful one. It’s also important to have both short and long term goals and always keep in mind what you want to achieve. Starting with a comprehensive pre-exercise health and fitness assessment, together we will complete ongoing fitness assessments to ensure you are always on track to achieving your goals.

I have been in the fitness industry for over 8 years. I started as a chef and after spending many hours in the gym I went on to do a fitness course, I became a gym & aerobic instructor.
I have always been into fitness with a family playing squash, tennis and golf it was always in my blood When my father played squash , I used to get into the gym and do weights.
I enjoy playing squash, tennis, walking & running (with my dog), weight training, going overseas (when we have the time), art shows and trying new things (food always come to mind).
After doing some Gym floor and aerobics instructor work, I was asked to do some aerobic work at Deer Park Women’s Prison & in Juvenile Justice (Prison for Young People), but I enjoyed working with the Young People and ended up working in the Gym for 5 years.
I enjoy working indoors & outdoors and pushing all my clients to reach there goals. It’s great to see a client reach there goals and know that as a trainer I have helped. I am a big believer in that health & fitness should play a big part in our lives. We should always like who we are, and not worry about what others think.
I have trained one on one, but have also taken classes with up to 50 people in it. I have worked with young people, as young as 10 years old, and as old as 85 years old (she kept me on my toes). I try and help all my clients reach there goals, and i will help all clients with nutrition to get them on the right track. I am enthusiastic about weight training for all, and enjoy keeping my own fitness up.
I believe that sometime’s to reach your goals we all need a little help. I enjoy finding out what make my clients tick, and what work’s for them & what doesn’t . The most important thing about fitness is that it should be fun and it should be safe.

Myles Hodder
Sport, exercise and health have always played pivotal roles in my life, these three influences are what molded my childhood, are what continue to reflect how I live today and are what drive my future aspirations. I have been employed in the Health & Fitness Industry for 4 years, and can honestly say “I love every minute of it!”
In the past I have been involved in the commercial “big-box” gym establishments, you know the gym, the one with the sea of high tech machines and just as many of those decorative polo shirt wearing staff members! Obviously those days are behind me; I have seen the light and want to share this with my clients, who deserve to know the truth! To me this means educating my clients on performing functional movements at high intensity, allowing a comprehensive full-body workout within each and every session, utilising workouts which are always varied and unique, ensuring the most effective method of burning fat and building muscle.
By combining this methodology of training with invaluable health and fitness knowledge, every client becomes empowered allowing them to reach above and beyond their health and fitness aspirations.

I LOVE WHAT I DO!
I’ve been a Personal Trainer for the last 8 years and have been involved in sports and fitness since as far back as I can remember. Seemed like a natural progression to make it my profession to help people in their fitness journey.
I truly believe in helping people make a lifestyle change that they can realistically stick to. If you have a desire to improve your lifestyle then I can assist, motivate and guide you in not only achieving your goals but maintaining them. I am a Qualified Cook as well as Personal Trainer so I have an extensive knowledge of how important nutrition really is in achieving fitness and weight loss goals.
I love the outdoors and get a kick out of working out in Mother Nature’s playground. I also think it’s important to experience what my clients experience and join in in some of the sessions, as this helps me to be in tune to their needs and also be a better trainer. I love practising what I preach and live a very active life. My own interests include tennis, AFL, gym, body boarding, boxing, beach cricket and mountain bike riding, to mention a few.
I’m all for a positive attitude and can do approach. It’s all about challenging yourself each time you train and doing YOUR best. Only you know if you’re giving it your all. Fitness is for all levels and should be enjoyable as well as challenging so I always try and make it as fun an experience as possible. Remember, it’s never too late to improve your life.
